How is this different than the now-retired Sensitive Skin Cleanser?

There are no discernible differences between Sensitive Skin Cleanser and new Sensitive Skin Cleansing Oil.
Same feel, same texture, same experience
- but with a few ingredient upgrades. We added the new key ingredient of hemp seed oil to further target sensitivities, and we tripled the amount of antioxidant vitamin E. We also removed the hazelnut oil - so those with nut allergies can use it. If you liked the old formula - you'll definitely love this one!

Is hemp seed oil the same as marijuana or CBD oil?

Hemp seed oil is not the same as marijuana. Hemp seed does not contain the concentration of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) that is found in marijuana leaves, and does not contain the concentration of cannabinoids (found in CBD) that are extracted from the plant.

How does Bioelements test Sensitive Skin Cleansing Oil?

We test in the following ways:

Consumer Perception StudiesBioelements commissioned consumer perception testing on Sensitive Skin Cleansing Oil in order to validate and quantify benefits (example: "99% say it gently cleanses without stinging or irritation.”) This strict perception study was run by 3rd party experts in beauty product testing, wherein a 28-day study was conducted with 96 women, age 18-60 with identified skin sensitivities. Chosen participants are given the product(s), follow a strict at-home agenda, and then complete surveys.

Independent Ingredient TestingWe cite independent clinical evaluations, and clinical in-vitro (within a controlled environment/lab), and in-vivo (human) testing to validate the claims of ingredients. These tests are not conducted or commissioned by Bioelements – they are provided to us by the ingredient source.

RIPT, Dermatologist Tests for Safety + EfficacyWe follow strict formula quality control via stability and clinical testing to ensure effectiveness and optimum performance. Tests include human repeat patch tests (RIPT), microbial change, pH testing, viscosity, plus visual, odor and tactile integrity. We also conduct dermatologist testing.

We never test on animals.
