Hide skin care ingredients? Why?

Hide skin care ingredients? Why?

We went on a search this week. An online search for ingredients. Truth be told, we were looking to see if another line – any other line – had acerola cherries in their skin care, like we added in our new Advanced VitaMineral C Complex antioxidant formula.

We admit, it was pure curiosity. But what we discovered was very surprising.

We found out nothing. Because many skin care companies don't list the ingredients of their products on their web sites.

Do you think that's strange? We do. Where are the ingredients? In this day and age of information-driven digital media, we can put anything and everything on our web sites. Clients like you want information – especially when it comes to what's going on your skin – so you can make the right decisions. And you're smart: you know what to look for – the good ingredients like topical calcium, hyaluronic acid and AHAs. But you also know what ingredients to avoid – like dyes and fragrances.

We think you should be able to see all the ingredients in a product's formula right online. That's why we list the Key Ingredients of every Bioelements product on our website, as well the Full Ingredient list. We think it's just the right thing to do. Don't you?

Hi Shelley – Our skin care formulas do not contain artificial colorants, synthetic fragrance or parabens.

I was looking to see if any or all of your bioelements are parabean free? I have a client waiting for a call from me Tuesday. If I know for certain they are parabean free she will be coming to me for facials…. So far I am very happy with your products and am already using them for other clients! Thank you!

Hello – Ingredients for Soothing Eye Pad Solution are listed on its product page on our Pro Site: www.Bioelements.com/pros. All professional-use-only products are listed there.nnYou can also find them listed in The Bioelements Manual. (Which can be downloaded in full on the professional site).

I was using Eminence for about 6 months. It is supposed to be all organic. I have never had severe breakouts, until I started using Eminence for about 6 months. Is it possible my skin could be getting too many vitamins almost like a overdose? that may seem silly but I switched back to bioelements and my skin completely cleared up within 2 weeks. the only reason I was using Eminence is because the salon I worked for sold it.

Hi Chris – squalane is a great lipid-based emollient that moisturizes and lubricates the skin. You can find it in Sleepwear, Recovery Serum and Vitalization.

Would squalane be considered an emollient, or just a moisturizer/lubricant? If moist/lub, what other moist/lub should I look for? This helps me identify in my BioElements. Thank you for your postings.

Look for emollient ingredients like dimethicone, shea butter, and oils like olive, safflower, jojoba, sunflower seed and avocado.

What emollient ingredients would I look for to avoid? What would be good ones?

That is what I have respected about Bioelements all these years. No secrets with their ingredients. No hidden anything. Your in the know right up front with what you are putting on your skin. Listing ingredients IS the right thing to do and is the responsible thing to do in todays world.

It’s essential to list ingredients on manufacturer’s web sites and also be readily available on the product or box- so an esthetician or a client will immediately know if the product they are using is safe.

I’ve been complaining about this for years.

This. It’s one more reason I trust Bioelements for my sensitive skin.
