Acne at any age can be infuriating, but it can feel particularly devastating as an adult. Unfortunately, adult acne is tied closely to changes in hormones. 1) Where do your breakouts occur?
When a breakout occurs along your jaw, below your cheeks and/or around your mouth, that typically indicates it's related to hormones.
