My blah skin morning fix

Did you wake up this morning with blah skin? Dark circles around your eyes? Puffiness? A dull complexion? Ultra-dreariness staring you in the mirror?

If you’re seeing blah skin, don’t go back to bed. And don’t gulp down a gallon of coffee. Just put on your shoes – your running shoes.

When I have a Blah Skin Morning – I head for a sure-fire fix: cardio. My cardiovascular exercise of choice is power walking (actual, full-out fast walking – no Sunday-in-the-park strolling allowed!). You may prefer running, or a bout on a semi-torturous elliptical or you stationery bike set on “pedal hard.” The important thing is to just get moving…for your skin’s sake.

Why? Exercise boosts skin’s circulation, and increases the delivery of oxygen to tiny dermal capillaries that nourish tissues and haul away beauty-damaging toxins. The result is healthier-looking, stimulated skin. (It’s also why I think it’s the best “blush” out there – nothing beats the natural glow cardio gives your cheeks). Remember our mantra at Bioelements: The fountain of youth is in the bloodstream.

If I’m have a Super Blah Skin Morning – I’ll follow up my power walk with a Bioelements Kerafole mask. (I apply it, relax and read the news or Facebook for 10 minutes, then rinse it off in the shower.) Kerafole’s formula of algae, citric and malic acids take my skin’s brightness to the next level. Plus, this exfoliating face mask sweeps away dead flakes, turning my Blah Skin Morning into a Great Skin Day. Bring on the Skype calls!

So that’s how I turn my morning blah to rah. What do you do when you’re having a Blah Skin Morning? Tell me in the comments!

I love this one, Barbara! It’s so true- not only will a brisk walk rejuvenate your skin and give you a rosy complexion, it also releases endorphines that relieve stress, (this also helps your anti-aging quest!)

Taking your advice to heart Barbara!
Living near the ocean all my life, I run on the beach early mornings or evenings 3-4 times per week. On return home for my cool down tomorrow morning, applying a Custom Blended Kerafole Mask right away.
Thanks for the great suggestion.
