3 ways olive oil benefits skin

6

“Olive oil for the skin? You mean real olive oil – from real olives?” Those were the types of question we were asked when we first developed Bioelements Sensitive Skin Cleanser – a gentle oil-to-foam cleanser for sensitive skin that’s dermatologist and clinically tested to be non-irritating. A true breakthrough skin care product, we created it specifically because of the skin benefits of olive oil. Today, it’s a go-to daily essential product for the 60% of the population who say that have sensitive skin.

So how does olive oil benefit the skin? Here are 3 of the most important ways:

1. Olive oil is loaded with polyphenols.

Olive oil contains polyphenols – natural antioxidants that help fight skin-aging free radicals as they help soothe delicate skin.

2. Olive oil is sensitive skin’s best friend.

The skin benefits of olive oil include its ability to calm complexions that get upset by irritation, redness, tightness, or any environmental factor.

3. Olive oil is a multi-tasker.

It leaves skin soft, comfortable and (in the right product formula) clean. When mixed with water, the olive oil
in Bioelements Sensitive Skin Cleanser converts into a gentle foam that can easily be rinsed off – so sensitive skin is calm and protected from moisture loss – without any irritating side effects.

Are you ready to add some beneficial olive oil to your skin care? HOLD UP! Don’t go grabbing the olive oil you used to make that delicious pasta dinner last night. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – if it comes from your kitchen, don’t put it on your face.

Our Director of Education Teresa Stenzel sums up the reason skin care shouldn’t be a DIY project: “The issue is that it’s important to use a stabilized formula on your skin. Whenever you reach for a kitchen or food item, there’s always an issue with freshness, the quality of the ingredient, is it sanitary, etc. – all of these things can
affect results. When you use a stabilized professional skin care formula, you have the wonderful benefits of the ingredient, but you can be sure the formula will be stable, and give you consistent results each time you use it.”

I tried this cleanser because I love my other Bioelements products, and didn’t care for the results one bit! I have sensitive skin with rosacea. My skin felt like I’d cleaned it with salad dressing. The product did not foam, despite following instructions. It left my skin oily, not hydrated. I took it back.

Hi Suzi – Sensitive Skin Cleanser produces just a gentle foam – the key to achieving it is to use a small amount (a little goes a long way!) Apply to wet skin, massage with wet fingertips until it appears. I’m sorry you were not happy when you tried it. Let me know if you have any questions about the other Bioelements you are using.

This cleanser is too drying for me. I am using really Rich Moisturizer a few times a day, but my skin still feels taut.

Hi Rebecca – After removing your cleanser, which product are you using as a toner before applying your Really Rich Moisture? There may be a product missing from your daily agenda that is contributing to your skin feeling tight. If you use a toner, that should immediately remove that tight feeling that occurs after rinsing your skin with water.

I like this product. I started to use it couple months ago. Unfortunately pump is leaking and i constantly have to wipe counter and bottle itself. I checked it, bottle is closed tight but poblem persists. I moved to different state and no longer have recept, and cannot take it back. What should i do?
