3 Skin Care Pitfalls to Avoid Before Your Wedding Day

Did you know that these days, most photographers snap up to 2000 shots at any given wedding? That’s reason alone to make your skin a priority. When you know you’re going to be front and center of a photographer’s lens (and don’t forget about your friends and family’s Instagrams!) – you should make plans plan to a ‘blushing bride’, not a ‘bride in hiding’. Want wedding album-worthy skin? Avoid these 3 skin care pitfalls below – whether you’re the bride, groom, or even a guest!

1. The day-before-the-wedding facial. Wedding stress might have you running to your esthetician right before your big day. Tread carefully! A trip to the spa for deep exfoliation or extractions the day before you say “I do” is not ideal. But that doesn’t mean a facial treatment is out of the question. It’s safe to schedule a hydrating, calming facial up to a week before the big day to revive and plump stressed and tired skin and snag a little “me time.” In fact – make sure you start working with your esthetician at least a month in advance to book out the right schedule of treatments and ensure a flawless glow at the wedding. 2. Leaving your lips behind.  A glowing complexion might be every bride’s aim, but don’t forget about your lips! Avoid sealing your vows with a scaly pout – prepare them for the big kiss with regular moisturization. Bioelements Instant Emollient is a must when it comes to lip prep. Apply Instant Emollient daily to ensure lips are plumped and hydrated in time for the big day.

3. Avoiding the skin below your neck. Lower neck lines and strapless dresses mean your face isn’t the only focus. Get a neck-to-toe glow with Bioements Dry Brush Body Smoothing System Kit – its natural boar bristle brush exfoliates and revs blood flow for more radiant skin. The same tool pros use in the treatment room, its Dry Brush is gentle enough for everyday use and keeps skin smooth and prepared for a nourishing moisturizer like Extremely Emollient.
