What is an esthetician and why is it important that I visit one?

An esthetician is a licensed skin care specialist educated in microbiology, anatomy, skin physiology and cosmetic chemistry. Estheticians receive up to 1500 hours of specialized education and passed stringent exams to obtain a state license. Plus, the estheticians at Bioelements Partnership Spa have had extensive advanced training on Bioelements treatment procedures and products.

Just like a personal trainer designs a program to help your body get in great shape, an esthetician will carefully monitor the progress of your skin to make sure you get the results you want. She’ll identify your exact skin type, perform a Bioelements SkinReading consultation to evaluate your needs, plan a treatment program specifically for you and professionally recommend take-home products targeted to address your skin concerns.

What does "our skin care products do not contain synthetic fragrances or colorants" mean?

Artificial colorants and synthetic fragrance can irritate the skin. This type of irritation is referred to as "irritant contact dermatitis," a simple irritation that develops in response to a substance applied to the skin. Irritant contact dermatitis can cause redness, itching, rash or worse. Bioelements never uses synthetic fragrances. Every aroma you smell comes from 100% natural essential oils that are used in the products for their therapeutic value. Their amazing aromas are a bonus. And, we never use artificial colorants. That's why our products tend to be white or a very soft color. The way we see it, artificial colorants serve no purpose in skin care products and actually cause harm. When you use a Bioelements product, you're never putting dye or perfume on your face!

Why should I choose Bioelements over other mass-marketed brands?

1. A Higher Level of Ingredient Activity
Mass-marketed products are created for a wide range of users and are self-selected by the customer, so they usually contain low levels of active ingredients. This means real results are a long shot. Bioelements products contain the most effective, potent ingredients available. Our formulas are developed and bioengineered for optimum performance. We choose ingredients that get the job done – each one is scientifically chosen to deliver results above all else.

2. Product Purity at its Best
Many ingredients found in mass-marketed products, such as synthetic fragrance, artificial colorants and pore-clogging substances, can cause mass chaos for your skin. Clearly the opposite of what you’re trying to accomplish, right? The product development experts at Bioelements loathe the bad stuff and LOVE to create formulas with scientifically advanced ingredients, including organic botanicals, cosmeceuticals and aromatherapist oils.

3. Targeted Custom Blending
Bioelements skin care can be custom blended to target exactly what your skin needs. It’s not ‘one size fits all.’ It’s this simple: Adding lab-strength ingredients into your take-home mask, creme or moisturizer gives it an extra shot of potency. Mass-market products can’t compete with that.

4. Bioelements is Used by Leading Estheticians in Professional Facials
When a trained esthetician professionally recommends what you need for your skin, listen to her. She knows what she’s talking about. Adding lab-strength ingredients into your take-home products gives them an extra shot of potency. Department or drug store brands could have low levels of active ingredients and may be full of pore clogging colorants and synthetic fragrances. Why do you package some of your products in glass instead of plastic like some other manufacturers?

Since its launch in 1991, Bioelements has used glass to package nearly all of its products. It's a natural choice for planet sustainability and it ensures the integrity and safety of our formulas. And that's a belief we've never compromised. Its inertness and impermeability makes glass one of the safest, healthiest packaging materials available. In fact, glass is the only packaging material to be categorized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as "generally recognized as safe" (GRAS). Glass meets the highest environmental standards possible. Made strictly of naturally occurring ingredients, it can be recycled limitlessly -- never losing its quality or purity. From creation to recycling, the material's lifestyle is environmentally responsible (preserving raw material, reducing energy consumption, and lessening greenhouse emissions on a major scale).

Bioelements packages over 80% of its products in glass. The other 20% are packaged in materials that are necessary for specific product performance and stability. For the past seventeen years, Bioelements has strongly believed in responsibly producing its products. We proudly continue to lead the industry with our standards of safety and purity.
